It’s your book.
It’s your bread and butter.
Why should an agent get a slice?
Meet Bread & Butter Books:
a literary agency without commission
We’re a literary agency for authors and illustrators—offering expert guidance, industry insight, and hands-on support without the traditional agency commission model. Just a flat fee.
Did you know that literary agents charge authors and illustrators 10%-15% of every penny the creators earn from a book, forever?
That doesn’t seem fair.
It’s your book, it’s your bread and butter, why should an agent get a slice?
If you are an author or illustrator, and you want top-notch publishing advice, speak to us. We charge by the hour, no hidden fees and definitely no commission. Ever.
It’s your book, it’s your Bread and Butter.
